Rules on Attendance, Punctuality, Working Hours, and Work Assignments

This section emphasizes the importance of being reliable, punctual, and efficient in managing work schedules and assignments.

1.01 – Frequent Tardiness

(3 times in one calendar month)

1st offense - Oral reprimand
2nd offense - Written warning
3rd offense - 1-3 days suspension
4th offense - 3-5 days suspension
5th offense - Termination

1.02 – Absence without official leave (AWOL)

(Absence from work without official notice and authorization/approval)

For 1-2 consecutive days

For 3 or more consecutive days

1.02.02 – Frequent Absences

Six (6) Unapproved (notified or not) absences in a 90 day period or 3 calendar months

1.02.03 -NON-COMPLIANCE ON ASSIGNING OR HAVING A RELIEVER DURING ABSENCE OR LEAVE FOR TEAM LEADERS

1.02.04 – DEVIATION FROM DATES ON PRE-APPROVED LEAVE OF ABSENCE.

1.03 – ABANDONMENT OF WORK

(Absence from work without official notice and authorization/approval for 4 or more consecutive working days, without official explanation received by the employee's superior shall be considered as abandonment of work)

1.04 – WASTING TIME

(Over break, loitering around, chatting, stretching break periods, computer games, prolonged entertaining of visitors during office hours, etc.) during official hours whether inside company premises, or away or at assigned workplace

2nd offense - 1-3 days suspension
3rd offense - 3-5 days suspension
4th offense - Termination

1.05 – UNDER TIME WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL

(Leaving Work Area or work assignment without permission during work hours or before quitting time)

1.06 – FAILURE TO RETURN OR TO

(after an approved under time or break time without advance notice or permission and without justifiable reason)

1.07 – UNJUSTIFIED FAILURE OR REFUSAL TO REPORT FOR WORK

1.08 – DELIBERATE FAILURE OR REFUSAL TO ACCEPT OR TO COMPLY WITH AN OFFICIAL ORDER

(Punching in or punching out of time card for another employee; or requesting a co-employee to punch in or punch out time card for his/her behalf; or tampering with or unauthorized altering of one's time card or the timecard of another employee)

(Collecting, placing bets or participating in any game of chance, gambling during working hours and/ or within company premises or any place within its jurisdiction)

1.14 – UNAUTHORIZED OR UNOFFICIAL
ACTIVITY/WORK

(Unauthorized or unofficial activity/work or performing work of personal nature within company premises or its place of jurisdiction and/or during working hours; or loafing or loitering or engaging in unauthorized activity during working hours or causing disruptions to work activities of others during working hours)

2nd offense - 1-3 days suspension

1.15 – DEVIATION FROM PRE-APPROVED
ITINERARY

(Deviated 5 times, within one(1) calendar month, from pre-approved itinerary without prior notice to and approval by higher authority)

1.16 – UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY OR USE OF RESTRICTED AREA

(Unauthorized entry in restricted areas and/or unauthorized use of such place, or assisting another person to commit this act)

1.17 – MALINGERING OR FEIGNING
ILLNESS

(Giving false excuse(s) for a leave of absence; or pretending to be sick)

(Any acts of insubordination and/or refusal to obey lawful and reasonable orders or instructions given by immediate supervisors or company officers)
